Lord, Inspire us with Generosity,
Hope and Togetherness!
9:00 am – 2:30 pm at the Family Ministry Center
“The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” Rev 21:23
This day’s desire is to inspire generosity, hope, and togetherness, with the result being more people committed and engaged in ministries throughout the city. Over 20 Urban ministry partners located at the FMC and throughout greater Cleveland will be offering “speed workshops” to learn about many opportunities to serve. Hope results when we all know we need one another and that together we can accomplish great things when Jesus is in the work with us.

Open Table – the Triumph of Relationships over Poverty!
Explore this innovative approach that trains congregations and their members to partner their vocational and life experiences and networks with people in poverty – our brothers and sisters – to develop and implement plans to create economic sustainability and wholeness to help individuals and families move out of urban poverty and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Building Hope in the City is serving as the Cleveland facilitator to bring this model to this area. Our initial hope would be to target individuals coming out of homelessness (i.e. Community Service Alliance), but we will also see where God provides initial capacity and momentum.
Come to the Cleveland Exploration Event – January 10-11th, 2014
to learn more about this model with representatives from Open Table
RSVP for the Exploration and get more details HERE.
If you are interested in participating in the upcoming 24-hour prayer watch at the FMC from 5pm on Friday, January 3, 2014 through 5pm on Saturday, January 4 contact FMC Prayer Coordinator, Marlene Morris at email@example.com.
